Dance Sculpt Challenge: "Feel It Still" Dance Cardio
DAY 5: DANCE CARDIO
After today - you’re going to have done the hardest part of getting fitter which is getting started. Congrats! The easiest route to more confidence, energy and vibrant health is to do something you love often. And I love to dance! This finale dance cardio workout is a sweat boogie that’s designed to get your heart rate up and have some fun.
You don’t have to be a dancer to do this workout, just copy along and see how you get on.
(I have to tell you, I LOVE the song for our routine but the dance style isn’t one that I have any formal training with, but I was feeling inspired by Dancing With The Stars and it just came out when I was jumping around to the track, so have fun with it too!)
Unlike a lot of dance cardio workouts which are full of high impact moves, jumping jack and grapevines, our dance routines are choreographed to a song.
First, you’ll learn the moves in mini-sections with me to background music, non-stop, then once you’ve got the moves we’ll put it together to our song and you’ll feel like an MTV star!
So...if you’ve never danced before this can feel challenging and that’s OK. You might not get the moves, or be able to coordinate arms and legs yet. This is normal!! It takes around 4 weeks to learn a new motor fitness skills like dance, so don’t stress if you’re a dance-floor mess, just do your own thing until you can pick it up again and keep going.
