Barre Fitness Theory
You’ll get all the foundational anatomy and physiology, in a barre class context, so that you can create effective and safe classes.

Exercise science in relation to barre - find out how to help your students get fitter and reach their goals faster.
Safety in barre - understand the key injury risks and how to minimise them, and modify moves for different populations
The M Barre Class Format
Learn the exact methodology to teach M Barre™ including how to lead warm ups, upper body, lower body, core and cool down series.
Each part of the system is broken down step-by-step.
We also include sample class plans and online sample classes so you can deepen your understanding.

+ What experience do I need to take this course?
While we do not ask for prerequisites, you'll find the program easier if you can follow beats in the music, or are a fitness professional or have dance/gym/exercise to music experience. We recommend taking at least 10 barre classes before you join the program.
+ How long will this course take?
If you take the online course you’ll have 12 months to complete your training.
Our live trainings happen over 5 days with about 10 hours of pre-course learning.
+ Will I need other qualifications to start teaching?
This program will give you everything you need to teach your own barre class straight away, but every employer may require different qualifications.
We recommend all our instructors hold a group fitness certification in their jursidiction if they start teaching regularly as well as CPR and AED certifications.
We recommend you check your potential employers requirements and check your local jurisdiction's requirements for insurance and further training.
+ What makes this training different from other barre certifications?
M Barre is a dynamic and athletic barre format that uses music to drive the tempo of the workout. We mix classic barre moves with cardio blasts and leg-shaking, arm-toning moves that combine for a powerful and effective class.
M Barre is a PRE-FORMATTED class, which means that we give you the outline and the method to teach class, but you have creative freedom to put your own moves and flair into our framework (or use ours, it's up to you!). This means that you don't have to learn lots of new choreography each month or use branded music releases. There are no fees to pay once you've certified either.
+ I don’t have ballet experience, does it matter?
Not at all, barre is not a ballet class, but you’ll learn basic terminology and movements that cross over. Many of our students have zero ballet experience but you’ll get everything you need to teach incredible barre classes.
+ Is this course accredited?
We are in the process of applying for accreditation from AFAA, CIMPSA and ACE. If you are looking for CEC’s, we can provide a certificate of completion on request, with the hours shown, that you can submit to your awarding body to apply for CEC’s.
+ Can I teach anywhere in the world?
Yes! This training is valid globally. All of our training is in English.
+ Is there a test out?
You can complete the online quizzes and gain a certificate of completion if studying online , or you can become fully qualified by completing the video test out in addition to your online assessments. There is an extra fee for test out submissions for online courses. Test outs are part of your in-person training.
